Ask the case file.

A helpful hand across the platform, whether you're writing a report, drafting resources in Document Studio, or thinking through a case. Ask where a score came from and it points to the page. Ask what's still outstanding and it checks the file.

Maya's eligibility meeting on Thursday could be a tricky one. I need a meeting prep brief, a parent handout, and a social story for Maya.

All three are drafted from her evaluation and ready for your review before Thursday.

Where did you see the failed hearing screening? I didn't see that.

Looking through your work...

Two things: the fine motor summary from OT is still missing, and the teacher input form came back on September 2.

What people actually ask

Three questions from a normal Tuesday.

The details stay at your fingertips instead of somewhere in a 60 page packet.

Where did you see the failed hearing screening?

In the move-in packet from October. The school nurse recorded a refer result on the left ear and noted a recheck was never scheduled.

p. 27 · Move-in packet · Oct 2025

What's still outstanding on Maya's case?

Two things: the fine motor section from OT, and the teacher input form for Ms. Alvarez. Consent came back on September 2, so the timeline runs to November 1.

Draft a parent-friendly explanation of the working memory results.

Working memory is how much information Maya can hold in mind while she is using it, like keeping a phone number in her head while she dials. Her score here was lower than most areas we measured, which fits what her teacher described about multi-step directions.

Example exchanges. Student names and details are fictional.

How it behaves

Four rules it does not break.

An assistant that invents a detail is worse than no assistant at all. These are the constraints we built it under.

Answers only from the case file

It reads the evaluation, the uploads, and the notes on that student, and nothing else. No other user's work, no public internet. If the file does not say it, the assistant does not say it.

Sources attached

It names the evaluation, section, or file an answer rests on, so you can open it and confirm before anything goes in the report.

Catches details that deserve a second look

A failed screening buried in a records packet, a date that does not line up, a section nobody has claimed yet.

The clinical judgment stays yours

It finds, summarizes, and drafts. It does not determine eligibility, make a diagnosis, or overrule your interpretation. What it means for this student is still your call.

Where it lives

Wherever you already are.

The Case Assistant is not a separate app to remember. It sits next to the work.

In the Report Writer

Ask where a score came from while you write the section that cites it, or ask it to rework the paragraph you are looking at.

Report Writer

In Document Studio

Adapt any generated draft in place. Shorten the parent handout, change the reading level, add the section your district expects.
